Eager to express interest, a trip was organised to view Larenso at the family-owned barn and training yard where he was cared for. Located in the picturesque and rugged slopes of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence (a few hours’ drive from Nice), four days were set aside to work with the impressive young chestnut who had previously been successfully competed locally at a number of events. LUXOR is an impressive moving athletic 17hh gelding son of Londonderry, a renowned sire who had great success at the German Riding Championships, winning the Performance test in 1999 at Verden. He went on to achieve the highest results at the Federal Championships for German riding horses in Warendorf.
